A sum of RM6.304 billion is proposed under the Development Expenditure Estimates for 2021 to finance various programmes and projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This estimate has taken into consideration amongst others:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

a) Commitment to complete the implementation of the ongoing projects from the 11th<\/sup> Malaysia Plan;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

b) Capacity to implement projects during the year; and c) Implementation of catalytic, high impact and people-centric projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Commerce and Industry<\/strong> – RM2,353 million<\/strong> for :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         State corporate investment<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Tourism promotion and Industry development<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Conservation and protection of heritage properties<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Transport <\/strong>– RM1,432 million<\/strong> for :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Roads<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Bridges<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Riverine infrastructure and ports<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Navigational safety<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Various Projek Rakyat<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Agriculture Development<\/strong> – RM121 million<\/strong> for :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Crop and industry development<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Agriculture infrastructure<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Veterinary services<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Agriculture research<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Energy and Public Utilities<\/strong> – RM90 million<\/strong> for :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rural areas upgrading and expansion of supplying potable water connectivity<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Including a sum of<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         RM23 million to Kuching Water Board<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         RM8.6 million to Sibu Water Board<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. Digital Economy<\/strong> – RM60 million<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

6. Environment <\/strong>– RM37 million<\/strong> for :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Forest management<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Forestry research and development<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Urban drainage and flood mitigation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7. RM34 million<\/strong> for :<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Feasibility study on State development planning and<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7         Policy formulation<\/p>\n\n\n\n
