Employees
\nProvident Fund (EPF) recently introduces flexible withdrawal for its members.
\nNow they can withdraw their saving from Account 2 for housing and education
\npurposes.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

\n<\/div>\n

EPF members are also given the flexibility to either
\nhelp their husband or wife to reduce or pay off the housing loan though they
\nare not the joint owners of the house. Members must fulfil the conditions that
\nthey do not have any housing loan, that their husband or wife is the owner and
\nborrower for the house, that the house is under mortgaged loan and the member
\nmust show proof of their marriage.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Under Education Withdrawal, members are allowed to
\nwithdraw saving for their own or their children\u2019s studies at Diploma level. <\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Previously, members were only allowed to
\nwithdraw from Account 2 to reduce or pay off the housing loan once in three
\nyears. For Education Withdrawal, members were only allowed to withdraw for
\ntheir own studies at Diploma level, and for degree levels and above, for their
\nchildren.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The changes are part of EPF\u2019s efforts to respond to
\nthe needs of its 5.2 million active members nationwide.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

EPF is the
\nMalaysian national saving scheme that provides financial guarantee for
\nretirement purposes. In addition, EPF is committed to secure and increase the
\nmembers\u2019 saving through prudent and wise investment and corporate management.<\/span><\/font><\/p>\n
