As Betong\u2019s \nstatus was upgraded to that of an administrative division, the districts in the \nDivision are seeing new developments, such as better amenities and \nutilities, <\/span>taking place. <\/span><\/font><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
One such district is Saratok which now has a new Water \nTreatment Plant benefiting 53,000 users.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Located at Nanga Lichok in Saratok, the plant is able \nto increase water production capacity in the Saratok district from 12 MLD \n(million litre per day) to 24 MLD. <\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The Water Plant is designed to provide water needs of \nthe residents of Roban, Nyabor, Grigat, Sessang, Empelam, and Kabong and along \nthe road of Nyabor-Selalang and Saratok town until 2015.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

The new water plant is also equipped with pipe \nextension to Saratok, Roban, Nyabor and the surrounding areas.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n

Previously, Saratok only had three water plants that \nwere able to provide only 3.47 MLD for Saratok Town, while the Kabong Water \nPlant and Roban Water Plant only provided 0.65 MLD for Kabong, Roban, Nyabor, \nGrigat, Sessang and Empelam.<\/o:p><\/span><\/font><\/p>\n
