Values are important in forging a more efficient and effective service-oriented Civil Service. They also serve as a moral compass and guide in its decision-making.<\/font><\/p>\n

On 24 March 2009 YAB Datuk Patinggi Mohd. Najib Tun Abdul Razak outlined eight (8) values for success:<\/font><\/p>\n

  • TEAMWORK<\/b>. Achieving more as a team across boundaries.<\/font><\/li>\n
  • DISCIPLINE<\/b>-Vital to ensure the many parts adhere to the norms of the whole organisation.<\/font><\/li>\n
  • DILIGENCE<\/b>. Consistently getting the job done to meet the increased expectations of customers and stakeholders.<\/font><\/li>\n
  • RESPECT FOR TIME<\/b>. Punctuality and precision in all undertakings.<\/font><\/li>\n
  • HONOURING ONE'S WORD<\/b>. Integrity and commitment in relationships with internal and external clients.<\/font><\/li>\n
  • DEDICATION TO WORK<\/b>. Work as a calling to make a difference in the lives of the rakyat.<\/font><\/li>\n
  • EFFICIENCY IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF TASKS.<\/b> What gets measured gets done.<\/font><\/li>\n
  • PLACEMENT OF THE LARGER COMMUNITY ABOVE SELF<\/b>. Society before self as the benchmark of success.<\/font><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n
