{"id":9590,"date":"2020-06-08T14:23:03","date_gmt":"2020-06-08T06:23:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/faradalemedia.com\/?p=1860"},"modified":"2020-06-08T14:23:03","modified_gmt":"2020-06-08T06:23:03","slug":"how-can-citizens-help-reduce-air-pollution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www2.rakansarawak.com\/?p=9590","title":{"rendered":"How Can Citizens Help Reduce Air Pollution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/faradalemedia.com\/v2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/art-200-01-08062020.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1861\" src=\"http:\/\/faradalemedia.com\/v2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/art-200-01-08062020-640x427.jpg\" alt=\"art-200-01-08062020\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">With economic sectors resuming activities following the easing of lockdowns around the world, more vehicles are expected to return to the roads within cities and across districts, states and countries.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This re-emergence of commuting, along with other human activities required to generate income for the economy, will lead to a rise in air pollution levels, subsequently worsening air quality and increasing global temperatures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While businesses and governments are urged to implement environmentally-friendly measures in developing the economy post COVID-19, citizens can play their part to help reduce the negative environmental and health impact caused by air pollution.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the United States Environmental Protection Agency, here are some actions citizens can take to reduce air pollution:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Carpool, use public transportation, bike, or walk whenever possible<\/li>\n<li>Combine errands and reduce trips.
